Body Mass Index (BMI) Calculator

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body weight relative to height. BMI can be used to determine if people are at a healthy weight, overweight or obese. To figure out BMI, use the following formula:

BMI =   Weight in pounds X 703

Height in inches X Height in inches

A body mass index (BMI) of 18.5 up to 25 refers to a healthy weight, a BMI of 25 up to 30 refers to overweight and a BMI of 30 or higher refers to obese.

"Dr. Mirande has been a positive influence from the beginning. I first spoke with home over a year and half ago. From the beginning, Dr. Mirande has been very attentive and will listen and talk to you about anything. Never once have I had the impression that I was imposing or , "just another patient".

Every thing that was going to happen to me was explained clearly as well as explaining the possible risks. Any questions I had were addressed and he seemed sincerely intent on making sure that I had all the information I could possible have before making my final decision. The staff at his office is also very helpful and accommodating."
