Dr. Raul Mirande
 Dr.
Raul Mirande was born and raised in
Illinois, received his undergraduate degree
from the University of Illinois and then
attended the University of California's
San Francisco School of Medicine where he
received his medical degree.
His introduction to bariatric surgery began
while completing his surgical internship
and residency at Loyola University Medical
Center in Maywood, Ill.
Dr. Mirande is a board certified general
surgeon, a Fellow of the American College
of Surgeons, and a member of the American
Society for Bariatric Surgery. He specializes
in general surgery, laparoscopic surgery
and bariatric surgery.
He and his wife, Kari, an oncology clinical
nurse specialist, have three children and
live in Klamath
Falls, Ore.
All patients of Dr. Mirande and Southern
Oregon Center for Obesity Surgery are treated
at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
Recent renovations to the medical center
as well as construction of the new
inpatient care area provide specially
equipped rooms for the comfort and convenience
of bariatric patients.
