Our team of bariatric specialists and the
attentive staff at Southern Oregon Center
for Obesity Surgery have assisted many patients
through bariatric surgery. But don't just
take our word for it — we feel that
our success stories speak for themselves.
We invite you to get to know a few of our
patients who are on the road to weight loss
success:
From Shannon, Klamath Falls, Ore.
Surgery on Sept. 11, 2001
"I am doing really well - maintaining
my weight, staying fit and enjoying life
to the fullest.
"I would not change a thing and if
asked I would go through it all over again.
"It was well worth the time, cost,
and pain. I feel great, look great (at least
that's what I'm told), and feel that I should
have done it 10 years earlier!"
From John, Klamath Falls, Ore.
Surgery in October, 2005
"Since my surgery in the fall of 2005,
I have lost 129 pounds and over 22 inches
around my waist. I was squeezing into a
size 60-inch pair of slacks and a size 6X
shirt.
"I am now wearing size 48-inch pants
and wear a 2X shirt.
"I take my chewable vitamins twice
a day and a vitamin B12 shot twice a month.
I am also making sure I take in at least
30 grams of protein a day as well.
"I am now off all medications prescribed
prior to surgery. My eating habits are now
very selective and I concentrate on protein,
fruit and vegetables.
"I am doing a lot of various activities
that before the surgery were nearly impossible
for me to do: Walking up to 2 miles a day,
riding a bicycle, taking hikes on nature
trails, mowing my own grass…the list
goes on and on. My energy level continues
to increase almost daily.
"The bariatric trained nursing staff
at Sky Lakes Medical Center was extremely
professional, supportive, friendly and encouraging.
Dr. Mirande and his staff were the same!
Overall, from start to the present I have
recieved awesome care!
"I am to this day in almost total disbelief
of how much my quality of life has improved."
